Domingo / Lunes

After ‘Upper Hand’, this double feature dwells deeper into the moody groove.

‘Domingo' turns a rainy late-night piano improv into a somewhat forceful progression, shaped through lengthy journeys stretching from bus rides in Colombia to life in Melbourne.

Swirling keys, a persistent bass and sampled percussion gather fragmentary memories with vocals acting as a guiding layer.

The flip side is ‘Lunes’, a close relative taking the sounds and turning them into an up-tempo ambient instrumental escaping the abyss and flowing out into a more tranquil seascape.
